Advent of Bedlam rebirths with the song “Creatures of Yore”, their most mature, powerful, fastest and fluent musical work accomplished in the band’s 7 year career. Impressively tight and dynamic, showcasing an unique and elegant drum performance supported by the finest bass lines the band has recorded. The vocal performance stands out on it’s own and is by far, the best and most brutal execution in the band’s history. Guitars are darker, deeper and highly complement the musical dissonance creating a mystical stereo swarm with the most extreme riff compositions from the band to date.
Intense, bizarre and oddly familiar: words that define the unique act that is Advent of Bedlam, pure Extreme Metal hailing from one of the most promising, yet underrated Underground scenes in the world: Costa Rica; band that has shared local and foreign stages with such acts as Amon Amarth, Atheits, Behemoth, Dismember, Dying Fetus, Exhumed, Malevolent Creation, Magrudergrind, Napalm Death, Obituary, Rotten Sound, Sepultura and Septic Flesh among others.
Known as December´s Cold Winter since 2000 (which work includes 1 Demo, 1 EP, 2 Albums, musical awards such as ¨Best Metal Album 2008¨ by Costa Rica`s Musical Composers and Authors Association (ACAM) and ¨KNAC.COM Staffer’s Top Ten Lists for 2009¨, 2 times winner of Costa Rica´s Battle of the Bands and highlighted appearances in major zines such as Metal Hammer, Metal Maniacs and Zero Tolerance), the band evolved to a new era under the name of Advent of Bedlam in 2009.
During the past few years AoB has self-released 2 albums: Behold the Chaos (2010) and Flesh Over God (2012), toured Europe. North, Central and South America, got endorsed by companies like InTune Guitar Picks, DBZ Guitars and Soultone Cymbals, their image and music appeared on VH1´s ¨That Metal Show – TMS Worldwide¨ as well as ¨Supremacy MMA¨(PS3, Xbox, PC, Mac).

Recommended by VH1’s That Metal Show as “Costa Rica’s best metal export”, Advent Of Bedlam is a vicious in-your- face death metal band taking the genre by storm. On August 2016 the band made a furious comeback when releasing the single “Creatures of Yore”: a massive sonic journey through an ancient place called Tassili N’ajjer which is part of the UNESCO's World Heritage List.
These caves contain ancient tales about the climatic changes, the animal migrations and the evolution of human life, told by rupestrian art, drawings and engravings in a place dated 12.000 years old, where representations of ancient Gods, giants and powerful visitors are also present. Is the “Great Martian God” drawing found on one wall an outer powerful beings or is it just a representation of ordinary humans in ritual masks and costumes? Which is the real history?

Advent of Bedlam is a Death Metal band from Heredia, Costa Rica. Founded in 2000 under the name "December's Cold Winter", later changed their name to "Advent of Bedlam", the band has won several contests and awards, has released 4 albums under both names, has toured North America and Europe and has shared stage with bands like Obituary, Behemoth, Amon Amarth, Sepultura, Fear Factory, Dismember, Malevolent Creation, Exhumed, Rotten Sound, Tim Aymar and Shannon Hamm (Control Denied) among others.
